I am off for a 10 mile run. That's where I purge everything I need to. I leave it on the road and come back totally renewed. Writing does that too! It's very healing, inspiring and cathartic. Try it.
My confession is to my Dad. When I was little I found a large stack of crisp one dollar and two dollar bills in an envelope up in a bible in our attic. Every so often, I would go and take a dollar here and there and buy hotdogs and fries with gravy at the local eatery the "Texas Cafe." Trust me this in not a place you would want to go any time soon.
But as a kid, I needed a dollar so I could have my texas hot and fries with gravy. The fries with gravy actually are still pretty darn good. At the time, I thought I was taking ordinary dollars and would someday return them. Well, no can do. I later found out in a casual conversation with my Dad, that those Bills were highly collectable!! Certain dates, marks, seals, colors that will never be replicated! He has a huge coin collection and bill collection. But in the bible, who knew.
Now what, can't go back. I guess the lesson learned is that if something is stashed in a bible in the attic, then there's a pretty good chance it's something of value to someone. So close it and pretend like you didn't even know it was there. You better say a little prayer while your at it and for me... Sorry Dad...lol
